So I’m sitting here in the library at school and I’m supposed to be doing my paper for english, but I really do not want to do this. At all. And I know that once I finish it, I’ll be done with that class and it will feel so good.

So I guess I’m not applying Dale’s message from yesterday very well, eh?

Why is it that I know the outcome of things is going to be so good, yet I really don’t want to put in the work to get there, even though the end result will be far better. Kind of like life. Oh well.

Guess it’s time to start this paper, what I really need to do, and stop wasting time doing pointless things, what I want to do.

a hello from mr. gingerbread-man

Well, the stockings have been hung, the tree has been decorated, the presents (some of them) have been bought, the decorations have been put up, the carols have begun to play, and the waiting tree is up.  Now it feels like Christmas.  It’s so easy to be caught up “in the season” and feel like it can’t be Christmas without all of these decorations and the tree and lights and everything else that’s associated with Christmas.  But it can, in fact, be Christmas without those.  The only thing that Christmas can’t be without is Jesus.  If there was no Jesus in the first place, there could be no Christmas because, after all, that’s what we’re celebrating, isn’t it?  Or are we celebrating the commercialized holiday in which we get presents?  Hmmmm…definitely something to ponder and a good thing to re-focus on.
